Youthful Nettles
Spring Nettles have their highest concentration of nutrients in April and May. And this is when the majority of leaves are collected for teas and powders commercially. You can do the same, but if you miss this time frame, simply cut them down and harvest the new growth.

They are rich in all vitamins, minerals, protein and complex biochemistry ( phenolic compounds) such as quercetin.

At this time of year, they are useful as anti-allergy/hayfever support.

Violet Heaven
Prolific in the wild as they spread so easily, this was a favourite herbal tea in the Victorian era. If you have some that you can pick in your garden, the leaves and flowers are very rich in antioxidants, partly due to the deep purple colouring, which is high in `anthocyanins`.
