Also known as Holly leafed barberry (Mahonia aquifolium) this plant has shot to fame over the last few years. Rich in berberine it is a potent anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It was a mainstay herb for Covid (alongside many others) due to its anti-viral properties but also for its protective qualities for long Covid and helping maintain mitochondria.
