Flowering St John’s Wort in Midsummer

The red oil expressed from St John’s wort flowers and top leaves produces an immensely soothing skin emollient that treats a huge number of skin irritations .

Blitz these upper parts in a liquidizer with olive oil (barely cover). Steep for 3 days, strain and keep in fridge to use as needed all year.
