Poke root, Avoid and Don’t touch this Beauty
It’s so stunning I had to share this majestic plant. I found it growing in ditches bordering a National trust property. As a Herbalist, we use the root (Phytolacca decandra) to great effect in the clinic for lymphatic congestion. But it mustn’t generally be handled, touched etc. Ariel parts can cause vomiting, nausea, low blood pressure etc.
Used properly its invaluable for mumps, glandular fever and indeed for chronic rheumatism.
