Sleep difficulties can be exacerbated in December with all that’s going on. So it’s good to have a few ‘herb’ options to help you. These can be taken before bed or in the middle of the night. Or even a couple of times during the night.
Indigestion & Sleep
Some sleep disturbances can be through eating too late, not digesting food and it ‘sitting’ in your gut and keeping you awake. This is a very acknowledged aspect of sleep formulae and is partly why our Evening Peace Herbal Tea works so well.

Valerian & Passionflower
These two are classic sleep herbs and are frequently combined together. Valerian root (Valeriana officinalis) helps you ‘switch off’, calming, relaxing muscles and helping any anxiety, palpitations etc. Whilst passionflower (Passiflora incarnate) is also hugely sleep-inducing, being sedative, soothing and relaxing whilst helping reduce nervous overactivity and any feelings of panic. Crucially it helps create GABA in the brain.
Valerian Caution: For 5% of the population, valerian does the reverse of soothing and inducing sleep. It will instead agitate, awaken and on occasion induce nightmares. This caution is, therefore, to warn you to ‘try’ valerian out when you don’t need its ameliorating effects. (This is a specially prepared formula if you are interested in it please message us)
