There are many classic flushing drinks around the world. This famous and classic “potassium broth” has helped thousands of us over the hundreds of years it’s been used to alkalize, detox to and flush out our systems and in particular our kidneys. Additionally, it will build our strength and help with weight loss! Have a go. This potassium flush can be used on its own as part of a larger detox program.
25% Potato peels (organic) (For those allergic to Solanaceae, potato family, try using yam peel (sweet potato instead).
25% Chopped whole beetroot and carrot (organic)
25% Red onions and garlic (organic)
25% Any dark greens (organic) young (late summer cut)
nettle leaves are perhaps one of the best choices.
Add herbs to taste (and to add vitality and immune support) like rosemary, oregano, and thyme.
How to Make
Cover the vegetables with spring water and simmer on very low temperature for 1-4 hours. Strain and drink only the broth. Make enough for two days and refrigerate the leftover broth to use the next day.
