Fresh Nettles for the Picking
Fresh Nettles for the Picking
There is nothing nicer than steamed nettles, treat them like spinach; add a nutty full-flavoured olive oil at the end, some sea salt if you want and freshly ground black pepper to finish them off. Remember, those pesky stings you have avoided when picking them with gloves will be harmless once steamed. Of course, you can also put them with leeks, spinach and other such vegetable medleys. (Picking from clean environments is assumed.) You can also eat them raw, blending them freshly into your Nutri-Bullet, where the stinging glands will be pulverized and unable to ‘sting’ your tongue.
What are nettles good for?
Allergies, arthritis, asthma, bladder infections, prostate enlargement, high blood pressure, rheumatism, Inflammation, detoxification, menopause, PMS and more!
