Willow for Pain

Willow for Pain
Our predecessors used willow bark for pain relief and relieving inflammation. Nowadays we use the twigs and leaves to spare the tree.
You’ll probably know that a French chemist extracted salicin from willow eventually creating aspirin.
Willow twigs and leaves (ideally Spring growth) are very useful and made as long soak teas to help with pain, inflammation, heat reduction and to help prevent blood coagulation. It’s also a useful digestive bitter tonic.
