Heart Help with Hawthorn
Heart Help with Hawthorn
Rich in flavonoids and other constituents these bright red berries help regulate the heart and circulatory system and are ready to harvest. Hawthorn’s biochemistry keeps open the blood vessels, allowing more blood and oxygen through. This can be vital when the vessels are semi-clogged and slowed down by plaque (fats and calcium), aged and therefore less elastic heart and blood vessel function.
Or for post-menopausal women where the loss of oestrogen levels means that the blood which is normally kept thinned and flowing, thickens and moves more slowly.
The tender and bright green Hawthorn leaves have long gone and they with the blossoms are very useful medicinally but now it is the berries we can harvest if we can find or grow any away from pollution. In Norfolk where I live almost every hedge is dominated by Hawthorn and so we really do have a cornucopia of berries.
In our herbal dispensary and as a single Hawthorn tincture, we have a blend of equal parts of leaf, blossom, and berry and this is because the biochemical constituents we need are in all three parts of the plant, albeit at different seasons.
Ask for a sample of our PumpBeet Capsules if you’re interested, they have Hawthorn and other circulation support plants in them.
Do Not Use if on Heart Medication.
