Red Admiral Butterfly Enjoying Echinacea
Echinacea has a huge flower centre rich in pollen and nectar, that is unsurprisingly irresistible to butterflies. My garden is dotted with these beauties left to commune with all manner of insects.
Whilst our herbal pharmacy has a strong tincture of Echinacea root (link: https://tinyurl.com/2p84sdjr) which we sell at Herbs Hands Healing. For this, we blend the root of Echinacea angustifolia and the whole plant of Echinacea purpurea (1:2 strengths) This way the differing biochemistry of both species is a 50/50 ratio, blended for the very best immune outcome. Echinacea angustifolia root has the strongest levels of immune components that go to work extremely rapidly, whilst Echinacea purpurea, has a slightly different biochemistry that is slower acting but who’s effects last longer. Coupled together they make a good ‘ fast’ and ‘ slow’ release herbal medicine.
