The Importance of Liver Maintenance
The Importance of Liver Maintenance
The liver has many important roles to play and these are amplified in today’s toxic world where environmental toxins are rampant and worsening each year. Even if we don’t think we need to maintain and periodically cleanse our livers we do and should. If you have liver symptoms then liver ‘work’ will be paramount.
A blocked, slow functioning and ‘heated’ liver will not be capable of working properly for us and over time toxins (actual toxins but also the bodies by-products which need removing like hormones, bacteria etc) will be recycled again and again as the liver constantly fails to clear the toxins it needs to process. This way toxins are constantly being thrown back into our systems where further attempts to clear them are unsuccessful resulting in more recycled toxins. This, in turn, damages the heart, immune system, kidneys etc and will lead to earlier ageing of all our cells.
The Good News
The good news is that there are so many everyday foods that help relieve liver congestion, cool it down and help it to work much more efficiently like olive oil, lemons, turmeric, ginger, seaweeds, algae and chlorella, garlic, all cabbage family greens, beetroot and coconut. The list is endless but eat plenty of those I’ve listed here.
